Nursing Practice in Australia is similar to that
in Canada, the UK and the USA. Paid vacation time is generous -- up to 6 weeks a year including public holidays.
Salary: Nurses are paid around $55,000 to $70,000 AUD total package, including differentials and salary packaging
that will reduce taxation on living expenses.
Accomodation: is about $100 to $230 AUD a week and often nurses
share an apartment. We find a Realtor to assist you with this aspect of your move. Some Australian hospitals have accomodation
available for international nurses to use initially, and others have heavily-subsidized accomodation, especially in rural
areas.
